I am in the 41-45 range. DD has been collecting since she was 3 1/2 when we won a trip to AGP in Chicago...before that she only had Bitty and one outfit! DD will be 9 at the end of the month when we will be adding ELizabeth to the "family!"

I am in the oldest age range and it is so nice to see some others there too but not many unless they are afraid to come out. I got Felicity in January of this year. I enjoy making quilts and was looking for a doll to put with my quilts and fell in love with Felicity. Have never been sorry I purchased her but it is addictive; now I want more. I always loved dolls as a child and have saved 3 of my childhood dolls. They will probably be my granddaughters one of these days; but she is too small now. Oh well, I do enjoy this board and I certainly enjoy having Felicity around. Now, I need Elizabeth.
I'm 26. Started collecting when I was 10.

I'm 20-25.
My first doll was when I was 8 years old.
I forgot to give my own info. I am in the 36 - 40 age range. I received my first doll almost two years ago for my 38th birthday.
I buy for my 4 daughters and soon I'll add my baby niece to that list!! [img]graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
I am in the 41-45 range (at least for the next 9 days!) My oldest DD is 18 and she got us started with AG when she asked for Samantha for Christmas the year she was 7. She read all of the dolls books, but kind of lost interest in the dolls after she got Samantha and most of her stuff. My younger DD is 11 and she loves AG. She has Kit, Samantha, Nellie, Felicity, Kailey and AGOT 13. She now wants Molly after reading and loving her books. We discovered the outlet in Oshkosh and the MCM sale after Nicki got into AG, so she is really spoiled-our problem is that if we don't stop collecting soon, AG will eventually take over the house (or the upstairs anyway.)
I am 24. I got my first doll, Samantha, in 1988 when I was 7. I loved my Sam so much but my parents could not afford to by me her clothes and accessories so I dressed her in my old baby clothes. A few years later my aunt brought me her desk, school supplies, and play dress. I was in heaven. When I was 11 I recieved Kirsten for Christmas. By that time a few of my cousins were into AG so some relatives brought me a few of Kirsten's things. I didn't get any more dolls until a year ago when I got back into AG again. AG was a huge part of my childhood, especially Samantha.
Over 40. My oldest is 14, and she started reading the books at 6. I think I bought her her first doll around 1997, but it could have been 1998. Her first doll was Kiersten. Her second was Addy, and while I still think Addy is a beautiful doll, but her hair is another story. I redid her hair last night so I could sneak the brush and use it on the Samantha I found and plan to give to my younger daughter. I don't collect the dolls myself, but I do live through my kids with them. I remember looking through that book a few years ago and dreaming about the "complete collection" but I can't justify spending more on doll furniture than MY furniture cost! Anyway, my oldest has Addy, Molly, Samantha and Kiersten. My younger daughter has Kit, and the Little Sister dolls Lily and Tess.
